Wharton starting point?

Hi all,

Does anyone know where a good starting point would be if I wanted to check out the terrain?

I just realized that it was closer to me than I thought. It's probably about a half an hour away and Id like to check it out with my stock 2 door rubi. I hope i'll be okay?

Anyway, thanks for any input in advance.

Chris

you'll be fine with that, bring a yardstick to measure the mudholes before going in them though, good starting point is Atsion ranger station.

For new folks, I'd suggest Batsto Visitor Center is a good starting point for first time out here. Nice restrooms, maps, souvenirs, big paved parking lot, old village to visit.
Did the OP get any good pictures to post?

Yeah, I was looking at that spot on google maps. It was closed that day, according to their website.

I didn't go that day. No one else wanted to go and I wasn't comfortable going alone for the first time with no gear.

Okay. I'll keep checking back.

I might cancel though. I just got a beat on a great deal for a front bumper in PA. Just waiting on the seller to get back to me about it.

Thanks for replying!
