Wharton Run June 12th

Date: June 12th
Meeting Place: Atsion Ranger Station
GPS: 39.742813,-74.725832

724 U.S. 206
Vincentown, NJ 08088

I was thinking of meeting up between 9:30am and 10am, hit the trails between 10am-1030am the latest. I'll keep this list updated as much as possible, hopefully this will be a good turn out like the rest

In:
- NJFreekshow (stock XJ) and a buddy with a Xterra
- mpoo1083 (TJ)
- BIGJAY (XJ)
- shadyvito (FJ)
- BriansCJ
- theguyfromnj (TJ)

Maybe:
-yellowjacket681

Edit: In my oponion, I'd like everyone to have front and back tow points, or if anything atleast 1 tow point as long as the group agrees. No one wants to ruin another vechile trying to recover it without a proper point.

Ill try to be there. Gonna try to make a snorkel this time.

I definitely agree with at least 1 proper tow point.

Thats what im trying to do, like a hummer intake. I want to make mine with 2 tops, a short one for driving every day and then a longer one above the windshield for deeper water crossings. Maybe we could go half and half on a 3 1/2" hole saw.

i want to keep mine inside the cowl, since i dont play in the water if its too deep. i have to also figure out how to run the pipe/hose for my intake, every one i've seen on JF has been 92 XJ and above, the engine bay layout is different then mine. sadly i might have to make it go to the driver's side and not the passengers

I don't mean to thread hijack, but since tow points were mentioned, I have a question.. what's an easy, safe, and effective way to add a tow point (or two) to the back of a TJ? I don't really have the cash to go out and get a new bumper yet. Is there anything I can bolt or weld on? D-Ring Shackles, Tow Hooks, Trailer Hitch, etc?

id suggest getting a rear hitch recieve, maybe hit a junkyard (i picked mine up for $25 at a local junkyard) and then use that with a hitch as your rear recovery. thats what i use, but my hitch has a D-ring attached to it.
