want to go off roading!

Hello. i'm new to this forum. I've been trying to get a handle as to where the coolest places to go but just not sure what is accurate, between the pine barrens/wharton, to stokes.
I've been to stokes, but more for hiking.
Ideally would like to meet up with a few people and have some fun, but also learn the area. if its better to PM me thats fine too. I'm very sensitive to the legality of things.
thanks!
