I pass stokes a few times a week, and I've been there a few times as well. Unless I missed the section of the park you're talking about, the only roads you can actually drive on could probably be tackled by a Nissan Sentra. That's just my opinion though, and I would really like to see some pics of the trails in question. It is a great place for hiking though, and is actually part of the appalachian trail.

If I can get out from work I'm down. I'll try and check back here often to see if we can get an actual date to go.

yea the "main road" that goes back there isn't anything too great, but it's all the side trails. I found one the last time that wound around thru the woods up a few STEEP hills, over about a 3 or 4 foot drop. then the trails up by tillman's ravine are the better ones. don't think I'm gonna make it up there again till at least this weekend. today is stocking day on the Paulinskill so I'll be out fishin till dark. n tomorrow the wife wants me home so we can do somethin together (all week I've been fishin all day). hopefully saturday or sunday I can go and take some pics

I'm thinking about going there sometime within the next few weeks and checking it out again. I just can't picture what you're talking about off the top of my head. Hopefully there is some decent stuff, because it would be another one of the very few spots where you can actually go in north NJ.

Hey Rob give me a yell when you are gonna go, maybe I'll be down to take the ZJ up (still waiting on small parts for functionality) or I can do a ride along.

another thing about me goin up there is that my grey XJ needs a TPS, oil pressure sending unit, and battery to take it outta the driveway. the white XJ needs a lift for me to have any fun. I have the grey one for sale, as is, but the more I'm thinkin about it, I'm more than likely gonna swap the lift over. Yesterday I started PB Blastin all the bolts to hopefully make it easier to get everything apart.

This little wheeling adventure is gonna happen....someday LOL

I've been there a couple of times and had a blast. I always wondered why noone ever mentioned this spot. I found it accidently when I went for a drive to find the abandon town of Walpack. I'm actually heading over to stokes this friday to have a little fun. I'll see if I can snap some pics.
