The photo below is hawkins pit.
A lot of Quads and dirt bikes ride back there.. and it is 110% illegal. Local PD do have ATV's and they will chase you. So unless you wanna see all of Reed Rd/Colliers Mills.
Didnt wanna piss on your little sex fest back there, but stay out of the woods in that area if you are not going to take the time to learn the area..

Nothing in that area you need 4 lo in. Just need a set of balls, and knowledge of wheeling..

I've only had the jeep 5 days, and I'm not a veteran wheeler. I don't think i was the only one that used 4lo to get over the hill.

I wasn't out there. Ill definitely let you know when I go alone again. Your profile pic don't look to illegal. And if by me being alone means you wanna do something I'm not afraid of a puggy kid.

Just giving some advice. Go balls out. Most of the stuff back there is safe. I dont like to use (ok, I cant use 4lo due to having no linkage) due to the fact it makes it more interesting.
Were you the green TJ?

Nope, Ill just tip off the local PD. Just saying. Learn the area before you wheel. **** like this is the reason we are having **** closed down.
Also, that photo is in a legal spot. It was a listed road in Wharton.

I can understand your point of view, you probably know that area very well. regardless of using 4lo out there I would still like to have confidence in the truck and be able to use 4lo when needed, which is why i got the novak.
In time, I'm sure I will try being more ballsy but for now I'm still enjoying playing things safe.
I am the white TJ.

hate to buurst the bubble. But 4hi in anytghing other than basically snow, put's a hell of a load not only on your transmission causing the tranny temps to soar to damaging levels, knocking life off of it every time it is used, but it also puts a load on the bottom end of the motor causing premature bearing damage.. the only way to get away yusing 4 hi in any terrain that 4 wheel is needed is to have sufficient horsepower levels which noone who has posted in this thread has. Anyone want to prove me wrong?

Its easier on the trans because it doesnt have to work as hard due to the low gearing.

I'm guessing the theory is your not lugging the motor as much in low so you don't get as much side loading on the piston walls bearings etc
