Thanks, that's where I do most of my wheeling. I was just wondering if there were any places closer to hit near by.

There is a thread that has been going on. Seems like people take rides there often. Not too challenging, I hear (good for me):
I just posted a reply, I am looking to go on my 1st trail ride and would like experienced and friendly people around. Stokes might be it.

It's time we met and made a mess...

are you referring to the Passaic River access road? I thought it was illegal to head out there for anything but fishing.

There's a road in mawah called stag hill. It takes you up into the mountain I be been up it once there's a spot where the road ends and a pretty decent trail takes you out to where it would look like power lines should be. I was really interested but I turned back cause I didn't know if it was legal on the trail there were no property signs or no vehicle signs it seems that alot of people dump trash in the woods up there as there was debris everywhere.

If anyone else knows anything about stag hill and if the trail has a legal status please chime in....Google maps has the route off of stag hill rd that I followed at the top if anyone wants to look it up.

The locals around Stag Hill aren't too friendly to outsiders, either. I've been up there once, but didn't spend a lot of time there. Didn't want to run into any trouble.
