Do you have to register to attend? I was thinking of just walking around and checking out the vendors.

I know the registration is by class, but that's for judging. They also ask for club affilliation. I'm just wondering if our club will be able to park in a group or if we'll get seperated by class.

I am pretty sure last year parking was only by class. A row of jk's and tj's, a row of cherokees zj,xj,fsj, then a row for the oldies, and then the other row for non jeeps.

I don't think the affiliation question is relevant. I only added 2 people I knew at grassroots. I would put jeepforum or something...

We've registered under the club name "Grocery Getter 4x4" which is a name we came up with a while ago that's not affiliated with any forums since not everyone we hang out with is on jeepforum (or owns a jeep for that matter).

For this event, we weren't sure if those of us with Commanders were going to be parking with our Grand Cherokee counterparts (XK/WK is basically the same vehicle) since the Commanders were banished to the Liberty/Patriot party

Edit: hopefully us XK/WK owners have a good enough showing this year that they can change the classes for 2012 (I'd suggest "SFA Unibody" as one class and "IFS Unibody" as another class to help split it up and be a bit more fair.... almost feel bad for those WK guys having to compete against XJs,ZJs,etc in their class, we dont have a lot of aftermarket suspension options)
