Seems like we should set up a phone network for rescues.
The times and dates in this post don't make sense.

There was a bunch of us right there today too. Looks like you need to join a club and get some wheeling buddies/contact numbers.

Yea I know I was with my friend who has a jeep too but we are stupid and didn't bring and tow straps or chains to get her out. I'm definitely going out tomorrow and getting some.

Be sure to get the right one. One without hooks and please don't use a chain. Proper tow points on vehicles also help.

What kind would I get then. I wasn't going to get one with chains but what's wrong with one with hooks?

Preferably one with hoops on the ends. Ones with hooks can come loose and become flying projectiles.

The ones with hooks are mostly made in China with inferior grade steel for the hooks.
The hook eyes are too small also, which stresses the strap too much.

Add the two together and you have junk.

No, add the two together and you have a missle coming at your rig at 90-MPH! That's a no-no

Use the snatch straps and avoid the chains or ropes with hooks.

However, if you were left with no alternative, and were just towing something light (like an acura sedan) up a snowy incline, you *might* get away with using a rope with hooks, but I wouldn't recommend it.
