i live further south, in oc, & am not really much of a fisherman, more of a surfer. but being able to drive right up onto the beach in january or feruary is nice, esp. when the air is colder than the water...i don't really bother airing down & i've never had a problem. when i visit the outer banks in the summer, i go down to about 15-18psi. never gotten stuck (there was one brief moment of possible doubt this past june, but i got out of it) in my stock WK w/ 245/65r17 hankook dynapro's.
