Also new recall: Front inner fenders trimmed to prevent them from touching the brake lines.
Cliffs: My alarm is not responding to my fob some of the time and the Burlington, NJ stealership may be shady.
My alarm will sometimes not respond to my key fob and I have to manually open the door, the alarm then goes off, and buy starting the Jeep the alarm turns off. The problem is intermittent. I have replaced the primary fob's battery and one time when this problem happened at home tried the spare fob, it did not work. The stealership did not find any codes, after I asked them to hook up the OBDII, their first test of the alarm was to press my fob button and it worked for them so no problem there.
The Dodge Chrysler Jeep City stealership is the Burlington, NJ Chrysler dealer. I took the jeep in because there was an air bubble in the cooling system left by my previous stealership when they installed a block heater (I had to move before I could get them to fix it). I could hear the gurgling in the heater core at start up and at idle the air would become cold. They came to me with a $1,130 bill to replace my heater core! I asked what the problem was, he couldn't explain it to me, I said you have to explain the problem before I spend $1,130 because a heater core just doesn't stop working. The service manager was getting coffee behind me and intervened, he said let's look at it again. They came back and sure enough a purge fixed the problem, just like I originally told them that is what it needed. Bottom line, if I had been a gullible client and/or the service manager had not overheard the problem someone else would have paid a grand for what a $55 purge fixed. BTW the manager did not charge me anything but be careful with this stealership, they may be taking advantage of ignorant customers.
