Any mountain bike riders in NJ?
So me and few friends are holding weekly rides up at Lewis Morris Park in northern NJ on sunday mornings and was wondering if anyone wants to join us. The trails are mountain trails, mostly singletrack and have a good balance of up and downhill sections. I have a blast every time I go there, it's great workout if your up for it. Post up or PM if you want to tag along or need directions. Thanks

I ride but mostly on flat sections because I'm forever out of shape, lol. What kind of skill level would you recommend to have out there?, never been to that park...

I don't think you'd be interested in this then. The trails at Lewis Morris are "mountain" trails, it's pretty much just either uphill or downhill the whole time. The main loop, the one we normally do is about 6 miles, and takes a good hour plus to finish so yeah it's tough stuff. It's a great workout if your up for it but it's definitely not for everyone.

I haven't riden in two years. I think I need to dust off my Gary Fischer hard tail and get
My chubby arse back into some other shape than round. Lol
Would be cool to do meet up with some local jeepers too. I'm in Vernon. I used to ride the tourne in denville, cannonball trail, Mallon Dickerson.

Any interest in a run through Lewis Morris on a Sunday morning? Allamuchy State Park is pretty good too and probably closer to Vernon.

Mike let me know if you need help picking out a bike or need some recommendations. I'm also pretty good at fixing them- put some nice builds together for my wife and I (and i need to rebuild my Fox fork... just started leaking).
I usually ride every Monday (clayton/allaire) and every Friday (allaire)... and whenever else I can. Make sure you set a few bucks aside for some shoes/pedals- they make a world of difference
