I almost got stuck today on the beach.
My pickup truck has regular street tires on front, no weight in the back.
Was going slow up Seaside entrance and all four tires started digging down.
Had to back up and use the left trail with more speed.

So, if you have street tires all around, and the traffic slows you down, have a tow strap handy

silly would be letting air out with no way to put it back in :-(

I was prepared though, I have 100+ feet of cable on the Warn 8274 and a big boat anchor that always goes to the beach with me :-)

For the parade I'm taking the XJ with fat tires.

I used to live in Brigantine, still go there every year. I'm surprised that they are allowing people on the beach without a beach permit(They run $150 per year). Getting stuck is easier than some may think, especially for people who are throttle happy because some spots can get real soft, especially near the Cove. You really don't need to air your tires down just so long as you have 4LO and decent tires if you get in a hairy situation. If you must though, the closest air station is the Getty or whatever it's called now next to the Circle/Lighthouse. If Beach Patrol is present, you aren't allowed to get towed out by any other vehicle and you can either dig yourself out or pay $$$ to people who make a living doing it. Sucks...I tried pulling out a Hummer last year on the 4th of July but Beach Patrol said I couldn't.

I bought an air compressor for my Jeep at Harbor Freight. It was about $60 before all the coupons they give away. Will inflate my 33s up just fine and it is mounted where the ABS module would be under the brake master cylinder.

I saw that one! I wasn't sure how good it was since harbor freight doesn't always sell quality products lol. But thanks for the suggestion, I might have to scoop one up soon.

Looking on The HF Site, reviews are 50/50. Quadratec has a Smittybilt one that's $75, that seems very reliable
