have you checked out the state park in stafford or the park in granby? was just up at the stafford park. its not so much offroading as a poorly kept unemproved road threw the forest.

Hi everyone! Southbury here! Havent done any mods to the wrangler yet, so its stock, but plan on 2-3 inch suspension lift, minor body lift and some 35's etc..Once thats done Ill be ready for some wheelin.

As far as this issue of legality, Im sorry if it ruffles feathers, but Im in the camp of just try and hit where you can hit as long as YOU feel you are responsible for your impact on the environment and will tread responsibly both with the ORV and with garbage. Ill pay $110 fine for a day of fun (heck, costs me $200 for a day on my boat!), so Im in if anyone has some good stuff once I mod up to go ride on.

Frankly, I know the clubs want you to join so you can be all warm and fuzzy and pretend that by wheeling legally you will open more trails, but in all honesty, its BS. Regardless of how we wheel, the environmental lobbyists will fight it just as hard, states and towns do not want the liability, additional labor to maintain/repair "roads" for off road use when our road crews are already behind on public road maintenance, Answering to lobbyists who scream if more open, additional hours of state park rangers and other officials, revenues are generated by the fines, so it is also in their best interest to make money on this etc...its not going to open anything else up even if every ORV owner signed 100 petitions that they will be "careful."

As well, Id rather wheel when I want, when the mood hits me, with or without others. Ill join a club too, just to be able to meet and greet others in an organized way and hit some other trails and make some new friends, but whether you like it or not, Im going to wheel somewhere as not doing so is silly. It is NOT going to change anything regardless of what people think. Id be more than happy to be proven otherwise.

Im also quite sure many of the people who are so "innocent" in this thread (I want to go...as long as its legal) are full of donkey crap.

Flame suit on.

I like your style, my friend, and I'd like to subscribe to your newsletter. No flaming here, but it's coming from somewhere.
