UConn Jeepers Call Out

I've got an 86 CJ7 and I'm up at the Storrs campus.

I saw a red lifted (4"-6") YJ today with a rotted out hardtop lift gate today and I'm killing to know who that was.

Everyone who goes to UConn or lives in the surrounding area's post up. We should get some kind of network going on.

I go up there to see my gf every other weekend.

XJ is OD with a white star on the hood. 3'' on 33s with bushwackers and a roof rack, anyone ever see it?

I don't think I've ever seen that XJ but maybe it was yours that I've seen up at Garrigus?

There's a red YJ, prob like an 89 that parks in the staff across the street from parking services. Looks like he has 33's and a 4.5" lift. I'm pretty sure the guy is staff and I haven't ran into him yet unfortunately. I love his speak set up; jerry-rigged house speakers zip tied to the the roll bars...awesome.

What color is your CJ? Pretty sure I've seen it. I'm a commuter to the storrs campus. 2000 silver XJ with 30" tires and KCs on the front. Has a pretty loud flowmaster exhaust on it and a JF sticker in the rear window.

Have you seen that black TJ thats around there? I'm pretty sure its on 35's the thing is a monster!

I don't. I would if I knew of any places. My XJ is pretty much stock except for lights and exhaust. Theres nothing around here for wheeling. A lot of people around here are greenies and frown on it. Let me know if you ever wanna meet up or something or work on the jeep. I commute from home about 10 minutes away and have a garage. I'm pretty much the only silver XJ on campus with KC smiley face lights and loud exhaust haha. I usually park in X lot near that black TJ or A lot which is down by the horsebarns.

If I see you I'll definitely give a wave

I might know who's pruple CJ you saw, my buddy told me he had one on 33 Baja's that had been restored but he doesnt do the work on it. Ill ask him if he had it up here.

Jeepkid, I know a few places around here that a stock XJ could probably handle if you want to check them out sometime I'd be down.

But this weekend actually I'm going to be doing alot of work on mine starting friday. I tore up my radiator this weekend muddying so i need to tear up the grill and space it away from the fan. I'm also going to be mounting up some tube bumpers I made, repairing and shaving the fenders/ driver's floorboard and maybe if im feeling ambitious a nutter bypass. We'll see though. If you want to join me you're more than welcome. I needa find a ride to autozone friday once im done with classes at noon. The shop I'm doing my work out of is at the depo campus so im right next to the main campus.

What kind of set up do you have in your garage?
