Front u-joints? At first I thought it was my brakes. I had just driven through a flooded section of road and heard a scraping metal on metal sound up front, similar to a warped rotor but it sounded worse/louder when I turned the wheel on corners.
I just had the worst one replaced (passenger side). The driver's side makes a little noise but is serviceable for the moment. It needs replaced soon, though.

Just be careful on Porter. DEP has been out there as well as people taking photos of the Jeeps on the trails.

I'm from Ellington too. Been up to Porter Rd. several times with two different xj's of mine and a friend's Dakota. That's definitely a cool spot to go. Idk of much else in the area. In the market for an xj or zj right now, haven't had a Jeep for a few months
