Any Good Trails in CT?

I live in Bethel, CT.. Right near Danbury. I was wondering if there are trails around here that I can possibly take my jeep on! Thanks!

Legal trails? Short answer is no. Nobody cares enough to fight for a fair share of land so most guys just end up trespassing.

If you are serious about wheeling then hook up with a local club. There is some nice private land that clubs have worked hard to gain access. Note the emphasis on serious.

dude, i know of a tiny *** trail in bethel, but if you want to do some real trails you're going to have to go to new milford or gaylordsville. gaylordsville is by far the best anywhere near here..

I really hope your not talking about the spot by arbys in new milford, that place is only good for messing around and dealing with the cops.

Do you have permission to wheel on these powerlines? I bet not. Most powerlines are right-of-ways crossing private property. Unless you have permission from the landower to be there then you are trespassing. If you are serious about the sport then you will not wheel on land unless you have express permission to be there.

i have respect for other people's property, and for the record, my favorite place to wheel is in gaylordsville and the only person's land that we touch is a police officer and we use to fly by his house so he wouldn't do anything, and one day he stopped us and was like "all i'm asking of you guys is to slow down by my house, you're causing dust. my daughter wheels her willy's out there weekly." he was a really cool guy. and besides most powerlines.. actually all power line trails are state property and there is not a single trespassing sign.. so yeah i sort of do have permission
