OSJ's 4th Annual Holiday Toy Run/Food Drive - Dec 1st, 2013

Please join Ocean State Jeepsters on Dec 1st, 2013 for our 4th Annual Holiday Toy Run & Food Drive. This event will feature a day long trail ride at a private property located on the RI/MA border. Participants are asked to donate a new unwrapped toy and non-perishable food item which will benefit the Arctic Mission, East Bay Community Action Program, and Rhode Island Community Food Bank.

Space is limited to 60 vehicles and all drivers must preregister for this event using WePay. Trail options range from stock to well-built. All vehicles must be equipped with frame-mounted front/rear recovery points and will be presorted into groups based on specifications supplied during the WePay checkout process. Due to the narrow winding nature of these trails we do not recommend full-size vehicles or pickup trucks.

Thanks for looking and we hope to see many of you at this event.

We preran the trails last weekend and opened up another stock-friendly loop. There are now 2 separate loops that will keep the less-built rigs busy for the day. And when I say "stock-friendly" I don't mean dirt roads that you can run in 2WD; there are plenty of spots on the stock trail where 4WD is required and a handful of optional obstacles that would challenge even well-built rigs.

The more difficult trails just keep getting better.

It should be a great day for a great cause. There are only 20 tickets left so if you are thinking of attending but don't yet have a ticket then now is the time to jump.

On behalf of Ocean State Jeepsters I would like to thank everyone who came out to support the cause. All but a few of the registered participants were able to make it despite some road icing at start time. We ran 3 separate groups of about 20 rigs each and everybody seemed to have a good time.

Thanks to everyone who put on this event. A lot of really nice people where met along the trail to swap stories. My daughter and I had a great time, and the old CJ performed like a warrior. It was really nice to see a picture of it in the thread.

Thanks again.

Steve it was nice getting to meet you last week. I loved seeing that CJ on the rocks. Glad you and your daughter had a good time. We hope you can make it to more of our events.
