Joining a club is the best way to stay legal. By going on your own and trespassing on private property, not only do you risk getting fines and possibly your rig getting towed, you also set a bad rep on everyone else that wheels.

I know this is an old thread, but for fear of being flamed for starting a new one on an old topic, I'm bumping it .

I live in Westfield, and i'm really close to all the hilltowns, so if anyone's near me i'd like to go wheeling sometime, although ATM my stock GC probably won't do that great .

I live in Belchertown and I go to school in Holyoke. Unfortunatly I dont wheel my DD XJ but I wheel my YJ that I put on the road durring the summer. Im down to meet up with a few local guys when spring comes. Sometimes its much better to wheel with only three rigs rather than 15 or more, like someone previously stated. And in regards to legality; I have been caught, I got lucky but it wasnt fun. If you know where to go there are legal spots and you dont have to be part of a club.

However I think Im also going to join western ma 4x4

I reside in Hatfield, MA and would love to go out wheeling sometime. Gotta go out and get some OME springs for my KJ first though
