this thread might be dead but i have a question about going on beaches with Jeep's. When i was 12 or so we took the Wrangler out to P-Town to go on the dunes. She was completely stock. This summer I wanna go on the sand in Barnstable. I think it's Sandy Neck(my girlfriend lives on Cape). Anyways, is there any trick to this? Do i need 4lo or anything or is it fine to do with a stock WJ

The only trick to wheeling on the beach is to air down the tires. It is actually mandated in the rule book that you do this. The only other trick- when you come to a stop don't use the brakes, just glide till you stop. That way you won't dig a hole with your tires.
Before you pay for a sticker- make sure the beach isn't closed due to piping plover birds. Nauset (Chatham Orleans side) is already closed.
