off to work on my GF's moms car.

I am still trying to decided if I should sell my jeep to get a CJ or not. I would LOVE one, but I am not sure about leafs over coils. Any thoughts?

I am not sure about 2 weeks my GF leaves for school in August and may get mad if I run off on the one day we both have off

I'd buy a CJ any day.

Who cares what your GF thinks she sounds dumb anyways.

Kidding...

I think.

As for leafs over coils...each has their advantages. Leafs also can be cheaper to lift I find. And some day if you want to run coils on a CJ there is a conversion kit. As long as you actually know how to drive/wheel either one will work.

I'd stay with the TJ myself. Sure it's a little cheaper to lift a leaf spring setup but you can't beat the flex of the TJ pound for pound and you already own the TJ. Keep picking at it and you'll figure it out. Seemed like it was doing fine Sunday though. Although didn't you say you that you disconnected the clock spring in the column? That may have effected your directionals. if not and you do have to change the switch it's not to tough and they run about $60 (I think that's what I paid for mine) VW?

Can I say something here? Stick with the TJ, steer clear of the leaf springs. Take it from somebody who HATES his leaf springs.

just need to flip yours, then you won't get hung up on the bolt heads any more either. I bet there is nothing to it. I'll see if I can find some info on budget flips.

Ok here's what I found out so far SOA=PINTA and most of the kits you can get are junk. Maybe some sort of homebrew skid plating to help slide over the bolts is a better idea and then save some more pennies for a front locker to help pull over obstacles.

we're looking at the 10th right that's the Sunday in 2 weeks

I know my turn signal is messed up. The clock spring is connected. When I showed up on Sunday my switch was making a rapid blinking noise even with no signal on and all my signals worked. Pete pulled the fuse to make it stop. I put it in last night and had the same result. I will let it dry more, but most likely will put it on my junkyard list.

I hate trying to decided what vehicle to go with. I do like the flex of the coils though. Sunday was my first time actually wheelin and I liked how they worked. Once I get it fixed I will see how it performs. If It will do 65 on the highway not floored then I will be happy.
