MA - Good Places To Take the Family

Not looking for trails, but just fun places to take my wife and the rugrats this summer in the jeep. I have a 2 year old and a 1 year old.

Any suggestions on places I could pack a lunch and take the kids to in the jeep? I live in Marlborough.

if you're up for a long drive, newport in RI is fun

When the weather gets nice I go to purgatory chasm. I it's right near sutton off rt 146. It's a park and you can grill, has picnic tables and of course the rock chasm to climb around in. I'm in Worcester and it's about 20 min from me. It's definitely a jeep kinda place.

I love going to the Milford Drive-in up in Milford NH. often have a few kids movies a year, just stay away from the nights they have the "entertainment" with some woman singer.. painful!! they are open Memorial day to around Columbus Day for weekends... week nights in the summer months...

Thanks for all the ideas. I really appreciate it. Kids are still a little young for hiking.

Colt State Park in Bristol, RI is one of my favorite places to spend a free summer afternoon.

I love the Cape, great beaches, great seafood and if you get a permit, you can drive out on the beach...
