Then go to the easier trails just north of the MA/VT border, above North Adams.

Might have posted this earlier in the tread but here's a video of my rig from a few years ago, scaling the first of the two major obstacles at OFR.

I'm on 33's with a 3.5" Rubicon Express Super-Flex kit:

And the water crossing at the very end of the trail:

Keep in mind that aside from a TJ Rubicon Unlimited on 33's and a JK Rubicon Unlimited on 35's I was the only one in our group to make it over that obstacle unassisted. Everyone else had to be winched over. At the second rock shelf I had to get winched over as well; no way I was making that with an open diff up front.

If you don't have lockers and min 31" tires ,I would not run this trail without someone with a winch.

Has anyone run her recently? We've been talking about getting a (very) small group from our club to go out and run it, obviously limiting it to the most built rigs. Planning on sometime this summer.

It will be good to finally get out there, as OFR seems to be the mythical unicorn of Massachusetts wheeling

No worries, there wasn't any pulling tension on the line, if I recall it rolled back and tightened up the line a little. That is an old pic though

I miss that trail. Went there every year while I was with HV4W. Last time I was there was summer 2009 I think. These photos are nice reminders of good times.

She's a whole new beast since 09. Reading back a few pages and comparing to now 31s DON'T belong on this trail. 33s rub decent in spots depending on the rig
