Here is a place to go:42.290644,-76.988633 to 42.317019,-77.034166. I went at it from each end and didn't want to try the mud hole alone. Nice trail and legal. Also a picture out the windshield. Also up higman hill in Corning and cook rd off of west hill rd in hornby. That is off of victory hwy. which is off of I86.

Yeah I've heard that whispering pines is pretty sweet. I'm with the Jeep Wrangler Club of WNY (on facebook) and they've been a couple times. I went to the quarry in Clarence the other day, and that was a good time too. I'll check my schedule on that 11/5 date.

i sold my jeep not long ago but there are some very nice spots in Allegany state park. One of the better groups of trails is behind group camp 10 (a very creepy abandoned campsite).
its where my jeep got this mud

really the only pic we took of the jeep on the trail

there's also a handfull of seasonal roads that aren't usually bad just a little muddy

You can try the Outer Parkway (West River Parkway) on Grand Island during the winter. It's unmaintained and usually only snowmobiles go there. Seasonal access road. Deep in places, but too much momentum will land you in the river.

It runs north-south all the way from the North bridge (exit 20 from Niagara Falls) on down to Beaver Island, about 7 miles length. I usually do it on weekends to go see family, they live down there. If you get stuck, yer gonna need a *real* long winch rope...
