Thief on Long Island

I work in Smithtown Long Island and my spare tire was stolen off the back of my jeep while in my office parking lot. I later found out I am the six person that we know of that had their spare tire stolen in the middle of the day.

If anyone knows anything about this a PM would be appreciated. I assume they are trying to sell them and may have approached someone who is too honest to get involved.

Any PM's would be confidential. Thanks.

This can not be tolerated, must be another heroin junkie who is trying to make some quick cash for a hit. Sorry this happened to you.

I bought locking lug nuts because I was taking the train to NYC and the train stations are real sketchy. I just started working in a small office building that is finance and doctors in a real nice town so I never put them on. The last place you would expect anyone to mess with your car.

The worst part is my Jeep was about 50 feet from my office window. If I would have looked out I would have saw it happen. The only thing they are stealing is wrangler spare tires.

this is terrible. I went out and bought a bike cable lock for this reason I have a locking nut on the wheel itself, and the cable running through and onto my spare tire carrier.

Might not stop it 100%, but it's just that much more for them to remove.

That should help. Seems like they are taking them because it is quick and easy. The cable will make it not worth the trouble to steal.

Are you running Moabs or after market? I have spare rim(s) you can have. You'll need the tire and TPMS.
