Rausch creek jan 28-29 2012
A bunch of us are heading over to Rausch creek for the weekend of Jan 28-29.
some of us will be heading out sat morning the 28 and i think a few might be getting there the night before jan 27 and staying at the hampton inn
jan 28 Day :Rausch creek off road park
jan 28 night: a off roaders dinner, talk and drinks (by the hampton inn)
jan 29 Day :Rausch creek off road park

as of last night's jeep meet we got a good group going with some good rig's. Depending on the weather blue's and black's if it's nice .we got about 8-10 rig's going and I think only 2 or 3 will be stock jk's the rest are all lifted truck's with some good set up's on them .

stock jk's will be draggin hard thru the blacks... i went through yellow jacket 2 weeks ago (2" BB & 33's) got caught up 2 times before i made it through. now that i have a 4" lift i doubt it will be a prob.

ya most of us are up around 4'' of lift im on a 6.5 long arm set up and lock

Did you go up in tire size as well? If not, then you didn't gain any clearance for anything under your springs. You'll still get hung up on the same obstacles .

I would love to make a trip to Raush in May 2012 from western NY area. Anyone interested please post up, would like to see a group then too.

I say May because my cj5 has no top or heater, and the other half would have no part of January out there

im going in my lifted WJ and my buddys coming with his Toyota FJ. we're off roading the 28th, look for the jeep forum sign in the windows

O ya 4 day's to get your rig all sorted out .got my my front end all done with new bushings and im doing my rear leaf spring's and wheel brake cylinders today after work

so this is the list I got:

1.wb joe :going sat morning
2.Bird : going sat morning
3.dean:going sat morning
4.michaelrom:going sat morn
5.nyoc pitt :going sat morn
6.myfirstjeep, Anthony going sat morning also but just for the day.
7.agressivebudhist :Leaving friday night around 1am.
8.homerecords (Gianny) : Leaving sat morn, returning same day most likely with myfirstjeep

FYI as of yesterday about 90% of the snow is melted. Tuesday night they got hit with a little freezing rain and that left some icy/snowy spots but that will def be gone by the weekend. Didn't check the forecast but don't think there will be any snow just a mudfest.

We will meet at the home depot parking lot in queens on woodhaven blvd at 5:30 am Saturday morning and leave from there and meet up with mike and Pitt by the belt parkway and head off from there
