Hey guys, I won't be around for it, but there is a Jamboree in the Catskills that might be good? Comming up in September I think? Maybe at the very least you two could meet up there, though I'm sure others in the group would love to also.
Man, if you missed today's trail ride, you missed alot of fun. The storms lately really turned the trail up a knotch. I got stuck, but only because I backed down the hill climb retarded...wasn't really stuck,. just at an awkward angle where if I backed up I'd hit a tree and I couldn't move forward...so stuck...but I still say I wasn't immobilized...lol Either way, everyone pitched in and with some shovels, and a strap to pull my rear end to the right, I managed to get out of my predicament. Thanks to those that helped me out!
Alot of fun out there today, pictures and videos will be up soon, check back later tonight or tomorrow.
Fun ride today, guys. Here are some pictures. My sister took them, so they're not the greatest but they'll give you the idea. There are quite a few shots of a certain Rescue Green JK being recovered. I'll let everyone decide for themselves whether or not it was stuck.
It was alot of fun. Everybody just needs a CB next time, it's ten times more fun when you can communicate between vehicles and also you get to know what's going on. We only had me in the front with a CB and Chris in the back with one.
Looks like it was a good time, kinda hard for me to get away from the wife and kids this time of year. Oh well maybe some othertime......
Those of you planning on the Jeep Jamboree , heard nothing but good things about that trip from guys that did it last year. If you can afford to go, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I probably won't be making that one, but I am going to go back to the Pine Barrens for it again next year. Well organized and good people on the Jamboree. I suggest you try to go to one to see for yourself.
onlyn8v, don't let Chris' opinion make up you mind, it's a good time and it's also supposed to be pretty technical, a lot more rocks and climbing then there is at the Pines.
