New York City

Is there anyone around NYC? I'm based in Brooklyn, but driving around, I feel like I'm the only one...

I'm actually about 30 blocks from Bed-Stuy - I do appreciate the thought. But, I'm still stuck in the concrete jungle and it's kind of tough to find anyone to wheel with around here...

Thanks for the heads up. It definitely sounds good. Now it just depends on how long it will take to get the new engine up and running... Hopefully I'll be good towards the end of Feb...

I threw a rod late December which also took out the block. Could have been the bearing on the back of the crank. It part of an adapter package to mate the NV4500 to the 4.0 and apparently they occasionally crack and throw the crank off balance. Of course that's all speculation at this point... could have also been my heavy right foot.

I was actually looking at HV4W. How strict are they about meetings? In my line of work I would really be hard pressed on a Monday to get out with enough time to make the drive all the way to Fishkill.

Like stated on the site you need to make two meetings, and two trail rides to petition for membership, after that, make as many as you can. If you can help out with different tasks on trail rides, and you are not a complete nut in the trails (see tread lightly) you will have a great time, defintly a great group of guys and gals.
