Hello Everyone,

I am very pleased to announce that there will be a new off-road park in New York opening up in 2012. The name of the park is Rocs Trails. Rocs stands for recreational off-road camp site. We will allow all types of vehicles and will have different trails to accomodate them. Be it a leisurely ride through the wilderness or an axle-breaking mud pit or rock crawl we have the trails to accomodate your needs and desires. The Park is still in its pre-opening stage, however we are just trying to get the word out and start getting some support. The expected opening date as of now will be on or around April 1st 2012.

Now let me address some concerns listed on this thread... It will border Orange County but actually in Sullivan. To start it will be about 100 acres and WILL be expanding over a short time frame. There will be intricately designed trails to make the most out of the space we do have.

YES THERE WILL BE ROCKS AND YES THERE WILL BE MUD!!!!!

We are working on the website, just wanted to get something up, but we will be updating with some better...dirtier...pictures. You wont be dissapointed.

Background:

Two very close friends and avid 4 wheelers enjoy wheeling and atv riding as much as everyone out there and we are working our hardest to make the trails easy to get to so we all dont have to travel as far just to enjoy a little recreational enjoyment. We have been working on this project for over ten years, and it is finally all panning out. We promote Tread Lightly which minimalizes the impact of Recreational Activities like 4 wheeling on the planet. We preserve the environment and its beauty. Although 100 acres may not be the largest place in the world to start, with our intricate trail designs, and possibility for expansion, we are sure to become one of the best places to go and LEGALLY push any vehicle you want to its limit. We are just off roaders like all of you that want to enjoy trails more without having to travel 3 hours. So far there is a trail that just about any 4x4 vehicle can make it through and we will be working on more trails that will be more difficult. We will be working with the visitors and members to consistantly keep the trails challanging and enjoyable, keep in mind that these are the same trails that we enjoy so be confident that you will be able to have a good time.

We will be letting out more information once everything is final and we are trying to keep the cost of wheeling as cheap as possible so you can hit the trails with us as much as possible. Thanks for supporting us and please follow our Rocs Trails facebook page for updates about the campsite and trails.

If you would like to reserve a camp site please shoot us an email at Info@RocsTrails.com Each camp site will be your private 20x50 spot to camp on and allow you unlimited access to our trails during operating hours. Thank you all for the support, the more support the camp site has the more likely we will be able to aquire more land down the road!!

Check out our website at www.rocstrails.com and "like" us on facebook for the latest updates!!!

I think I posted up on FB. But I do want to reiterate the fact that I as well as all my Local Wheeling buddy's that usually accompany me On my Off road excursions are extreamly excited about your attempt at this Park Idea. It sounds like it is past the Idea phase and onto the nuts and bolts of making it work. I certainly am willing to contribute my free time and labor and towards making this dream of having a somewhat local but most important a legal place to wheel come true .
I have lived a majority of my life with access to good legal wheeling spots up until the last couple of years. I am not about to move again anytime soon so I am so down with this Idea. I believe that getting the word out is most certainly not an issue. I have so many people in my wheeling network that you will find the park is reaching its capacity before you know how to deal with turning people away.
Well, I have offered my assistance again. do with it what you will. Know that I wish you all the best. I am sure I will support you in some way now or later via paying for access or showing up with my big brain and a chain saw in hand.
I look forward to meeting you all at rocktrails in 2012 my fellow wheelers. As well as some of you that I have not meet or wheeled with for years that are here on JF. Now lets make this happen Captain!:cheers2:

Thanks for the time and effort in advance guys
