Long Island Jeepers

Hrro!
I'm looking for some people that have 2.5" lifts or above on their jeeps. I plan on getting a 2.5" lift soon and doing some off roading. Would like to take a ride in someone's and see the difference. Also wouldn't mind getting together to talk or go off roading one day. If anyone is interested please comment and thanks! I'm in Suffolk county area in saint James. I do have a beach permit so who ever wants to come is more than welcomed!

I am in suffolk also. I got a stock liberty. I am also trying to find places upstate to check out. Can't even find old logging roads on maps.

There is nothing on long island for off roading.

Besides what few trails are left on Lon Guyland - I like power line trails - my feeling -- if its accessible - I’ll use it --- if locked - go someplace else -- I only ran into one crew -- as I slowly went by -- they waved “Helloooo” -- if I was doing 90 MPH then maybe not

As far as county park land -- I heard - the rangers patrol with quad runners every so often -- I’ve never seen one

This is the site I use for Lon and Lat on the computers --

http://itouchmap.com/latlong.html

Some of these I know -- some look promising but haven’t checked out yet - proceed at your own risk

If you try this trail go north -- if you go south and make the first right - you might pick-up a little "Radioactivity" -- dont worry it washs off with the mud ?

Lon: -72degs. 51’ 2.45”
Lat: 40degs. 54’ 23.22”

No idea where it goes --

Lon: -72degs. 46’ 21.58”
Lat: 40degs. 55’ 41.45”

?

Lon: -72degs. 41’ 9.53”
Lat: 40degs. 54’ 31.90”

County Road 51 --

Lon: -72degs. 41’ 7.76”
Lat: 40degs. 53’ 30.88”

This is one end of
“Hot Water Street” - during the 1 & hour hunting season out here ( sarcasm ) I believe the county sets up a trailer to check tags -- or the other end ?

Lon: -72degs. 42’ 56056”
Lat: 40degs. 52’ 11.78”

This one was pretty good - its right across the road from Pine Meadow Park --

Lon: -72degs. 43’ 25.61”
Lat: 40degs. 51’ 38.95”

This is 25’ east of a porn shop ( don’t ask )

Lon: -72degs. 3’ 8.24”
Lat: 40degs. 46’ 14.77”

As I remember / find more -- I’ll post them up or start a thread --

Be safe

I was once a tree house.
I lived in a cake.
But I never saw the way - the orange slayed the rake --

LIE exit 68 William Floyd Pkwy -- north to Yaphank Woods Blvd. make a left --- the old ( but never was ) Suffolk Downs

I should be going out to Calverton this week to poke some holes in paper

I'll see if they built another mall

Forget about Suffolk Downs --- unless you have a tank or dirt bike -- I dont think they want anybody in there

But --------------- on county rd. 51 --- Horseblock Rd. this looks very promising

Lon: -72degs. 55' 35.33"
