Anybody know a good jeep mechanic in the Dutchess Cnty area? I had a great guy in Jersey Andrew at "the 4x4 place", but up here it seems no mechanics understand or care about what's needed on a modified jeep.... well at least I haven't found one yet. So if anybody has a quality guy they use let me know. I'm tired of guys that don't have a clue what I'm talking about.

Harry, right across the bridge is JVS, Jeep Vehicle Services. Many of the guys that come to my place have good dealings with Duke, the owner. He is def a "jeep guy".

This is what i took home from the Catskills Jeep Jamboree. Someone needs an anti-wrap bar. 2nd day on the trail on a very long and steep dirt hill the 8.8 bucked and twisted up vilently shakeing the transfer case causing the t case shift lever bracket to come loose . rear driveshaft yoke snaped putting all of the strain on the front driveshaft causing it to twist and snap. That was in the first hour of the ride

Wow! Must have been some tough trails! Any pics or vids? We had some crazy rain Saturday night how was it there?

Think the needle 3 times as long then a turn followed by the same with roots. Not afraid to say I was scared. All the dirt hills there were crazy steep and long.
Perfect sunny weather Friday and saturday. Raind saturday night but the event was over by 8

James, which trail at Catskills? I went last year and there was definitely some interesting moments. Probably should have stepped down a little but I made it.

Cool. Maybe consider those next year (if I stay up till midnight on Dec. 1). I did Devil's Tombstone and Snake Bite. Snake Bite was the one I really shouldn't have been on. Oh, well!

Damn James, 3x the needle would scare me good too! If it goes wrong it could go very wrong. Have a new hill for you, won't stop you but the turn at the top should make it fun. Added a lot of new single track if you still have the dirtbike itch!!

I have to install an anti-wrap bar before i go out again. Guess Ive been lucky and not breaking rear driveshafts all this time. Catskills is hard core, The list of carnage from there of all the jeeps is endless, So many tires, shafts you name it. If it could be broken it was not to mention the roll overs
Im looking for grand cherokee front driveshafts if anyone has them. Actually i just need the short slip section.
