I'm on Long Island.

I just can't believe that with all the land that is upstate that there is a problem with ORV of any type, even on old logging roads!

Long Island is the land of NIMBY's and if you want to hit a beach, get ready to shell out 1g for all you MUST have with you.

This is why I make trips upstate to hunt for new places to take a stock Liberty. Anybody know of maps that have old logging roads of service roads that are legal ?

With the amount of taxes that are paid in this state, why do they have ORVs?

This is NY the land of the professional liberal... Good luck, if they are not interested in it then it is not necessary and you should be banned from doing it haha. Having traveled much of this great land it seems to me that NY is not part of the place called "America".

I ran into a guy today named Matt who owns a jeep and he told me he has to go to CT and pay a Permit fee tax to go off roading on private farmland property.

This is why I am looking for old logging roads to check out. I want to stay in the Catskills area but if I hear of old logging roads im NJ or PA, hell I'm going!

I was on Long Island for 35 years . I had plenty of spots . There few and far between now but there are still a few out there . Check out the " outlawed off road " forums my brother and a few friends are still on there and might still be going out on weekends .

Get yourself a Delorme map and start exploring. If you go up to NH plenty of unmaintained Class 6 roads.

Looks like we are doing it again this year!
4X4 meet and greet at Sonics in Newburgh
July 13 at 10am
Come out and show off all that work you put into your 4 x 4
Get and exchange ideas about that next mod youve been putting off.
Theres a chance we may be doing some wheeling afterwards.
(this is not a club event. Just a bunch of off roaders who want to hang out and have a good time)
