Tell me if I'm wrong , we bought a brand new liberty in 2010. Got the extended warranty even . I take it in today because the back hatch is sticking and the interior lights won't turn off . Also the right rear caliper is sticking killing the a set of breaks and rotors in a months time . They tell me it's not covered and the warranty is only power train . Shouldn't an actual door be covered by the factory warranty on a 2-1/2 year old truck ? Am I asking to much ?

Thanks Mike! Justin Is doing Just fine. It was a minor Ear surgery. He was in a bit of pain for a little while but as I type he Is down stairs pounding away on the Drums. I take that as a good sign. I am happy to say that after two days of working on My older son Mikey Jeep.. We got the Bushwacker fender flairs installed. Not as easy for a ZJ. lot of cutting. Not to mention we installed a snorkel which took a bunch more cutting and fitting. All that Plus JKS Quicker disconnects today.. Couple that with the sliders and Hanson winch bumper Last week at Mikes and I would say we transformed a B.A 5.9 with a 6 inch lift and 34's into an off the hook Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ. It looks amazing. I am almost Jealous, But I think a bit more proud then anything. Its my last day with my son tomorrow, any wheeling at all?

It's still under the factory 72/72000 mile wArrenty plus they talked us into an extra one . They want over $250 to replace the caliper and brake line and almost 400 to fix the back door . I just found all my papers and am going down there tm. If they give me a hard time it's their loss I was in last week looking to trade my truck in on a 40k diesel , so they'll lose that sale real quick

Brake is a wear item, def wont be covered but the hatch no way they gotta fix it! On the brake it'll take you longer to jack it up and pull the wheel off than change out the caliper. Did ya try greasing/replacing the slider pins? 7/72 probably is just powertrain, most likely 3/36 on bumper to bumper. How many miles on it? My toyota had 36,100 miles at 2yrs old they denied my warranty work, fookers!

Yea the breaks I just figured they might do it with power train but Megan can switch them herself without my help even . Its only got 54k the 74k plus some extra "preferred" warranty . Screw em just if they fix the door or not I won't be buying another car from them

Thanks guys for helping today!
After you left I grabbed a couple of beers and went back out to the truck and crawled under it. The starter is there and its bolted to the engine block.
The clutch dosent hit the neutral safety switch so I had to push the button and still nothing.
THe guages are missing so im thinking thats why im not getting power from the key. I dont remember if the guages were there last time.
I have some thinking to do. I want to be 100 % sure it runs perfect before I continue
