I appreciate you telling me about Mt Beacon being illegal and I wont be going where I'm not wanted but I'd appreciate you not attempting to make an example of me in these forums . I understand the no illegal wheeling policy here. I'm also enjoying my Jeep quite a bit and hopefully I didn't encourage someone to illegally wheel by seeing for myself what the situation actually is.
edit: ahh **** it, I am staying out of it. hehe.

It's not JUST Don or me or any of us who are in the Wheeling community. It's those that secretly use forums like this to advance their own cause in groups like Sierra Club, Nature Conservancy, etc. They like to show how we are an irresponsible bunch of hoodlums that go around tearing up the earth with no regard to other people's property (Private Property).

That's why this forum does NOT condone any posting of ILLEGAL WHEELING!

I didn't mean you were. I was trying to get others here to recognize illegal wheeling is monitored often by others as well as those who try to promote good wheeling.

Born and Raised in Highland Falls (right next to West Point) and on my second heep.

1st one. (Soon to be selling off the lift and the tires)

current one

and to add to the Mt. Beacon saga, I used to go up there in my mountain bike and I got a $74 ticket for being there... I cannot imagine what it is for a Jeep. don't do it.

I'll be home over Thanksgiving break swapping parts over from the old to the new if anyone is interested in doing a ride then?

... which of course means subsequent comment . You very much do not need the 3" body lift on your truck to clear 36" tires with your SOA. Besides the odd appearance, the CG is higher than necessary and the bolt length jeopardizes the body to frame strength (frame stops, body keeps going).
