Jk Death wobble diagnosis/Capitol region/Saratoga?

Having problems getting my poor JK diagnosed - DH and I have run through the youtubes on death wobbles and we have some ideas, but we can't find a decent shop to help diagnose and fix that won't automatically throw another steering dampener on - first shop did it when my husband told them OK (for $300!!!!!!!!), even though I told them that's just a bandaid, not a fix. I asked a few people local to where I am (glens falls) and got something like "they all suck, just do it yourself". :P

We can probably put on a dampener :P, but if it's something like ball joints it's way past our skill level. Are there any trustworthy shops in the area? Willing to even go out towards Albany if needed.

I'm not sure but someone I know told me they had good luck with Stephens Chrysler Jeep in Greenwich (518-531-3533). They had an issue with a Dodge vehicle they purchased used (less than 8,000 miles) through a Chevy dealer. Warranty was still valid but Nemer gave them a hard time because they didn't buy from them. Took the vehicle to Stephen's and they took care of the issue. My friend couldn't have been happier with the customer service he received.

Hope this helps.
