I wheeled in NY/MA/CT/PA for 15 yrs before moving west. NY is pretty legally locked down for any trails than aren't either, 1) an old road still on some town map so the town still gets state money for its maint, even when they don't, 2) private land where the owner is a Jeep nut and doesn't mine some trails carved out, 3) boring forest dirt roads that you can drive a Chevy Malibu through. If you really want to get into off-roading, find and join a local club.

Moved your thread to the New York forum where that kind of information will be more available.

That's OK because some of us are looking for the info.

Good day, sir:

I tried PM-ing you but your inbox is full. You had mentioned to message you; I was wondering if that offer still stands..

I live in NYC but we have a house in Sullivan County. Its only 8.3 acres so i get bored easily just driving around the property. I'd really like to hit a solid trail and test the capabilities of my YJ. What would you say to that?

Best,
Lenny
