Bad day in Brooklyn...

Not your day when your pinion yolk goes on you in the middle of rush hour in the middle of Atlantic Ave and you have to push your truck on your own while merging through three lanes of traffic to get to the sidewalk so you can pull the rear shaft so you can limp home with power to the front wheels...

Also running into traffic to retrieve parts was not fun...

Haha... I couldn't agree more. It's just a function of $$$ and I'm not quite there yet. I think I sheared a pin in my Aussie locker so it's been acting like a spool. I'm pretty sure that's why the pinion decided to go. I was actually pretty surprised about merging. I still had to do it on my own with no offer for help but I made it over to the right lane faster than if I was driving. People actually let me over.

New NYC merging trick: pretend you broke down, put your blinkers on, get out and push your car over to the right hand lane.

I was thinking about it and I'm starting to believe that it wasn't out of sympathy but the simple fact that they knew there was nobody sitting in the car with the capacity to hit the brake pedal as the car was rolling towards them.
