where to wheel near Bradford PA

Hi. I am pretty new to the off road driving world. I work in Bradford PA and live in Olean NY. I've read a little about Penn's Woods, but don't know where it is.

Anybody want to show me the ropes of off roading?

I have alot of friends that can show you where to go around here. I can't at the moment cause my jeep is waiting for the 350 conversion, the four banger in it is about dead so I need to baby it till spring till my other transportation source is available. I drive it about 11 miles a day and it takes 2 quarts a week to keep the oil pan full So wheeling is just about out of the question, That is unless you have a good tow strap LOL

Is there a club i could join in the area?- thats what everybody says to do. Are the trail accessable with all the snow? could i go alone, or would i need somebody to pull me out of holes?

is there an easy trail i could start on- i had a friend tell me there were some in custer city, but wasn't sure where.

There are three main groups in the area.

-ErieJeepPeople.com
-wnyoffroad.org

We also have a small group of people not really a club just a group of guys doing some local wheeling.

You could go alone but you will regret it.

Do NOT wheel offroad alone. Too many people have found out the hard way that this is dangerous, or even fatal.

The technical advice you get from me here is worth exactly what you paid me for it. Warranty issues will be reimbursed at double what you paid me for the advice.
