State College / Penn State / Bellefonte / Boalsburg Areas

Hey guys,

I know I've talked to a few of ya'll on other threads. I wanted to combine / start a new thread for the area. That way if there are others / new people that peruse the thread topics our area won't be missed.

For those who are new to the thread, I live in the State College area and looking for some wheeling buddies, and maybe some "relative" cheap labor depending on how much beer we drink while we work on the vehicles.

I also wanted to extend out a quick invite to a wheeling run we have going out this weekend. I know it's short notice but if you're in the area and want to join we're meeting up at the Sheetz at the intersection of I99 and Atherton street in State College at 9:15-9:30 AM THIS SATURDAY. Anybody is welcome. We have 3-4ish in already but we had a few others not be able to get out of prior obligations so there is room for a few more. It's going to be a mild run because some are testing out newer jeeps, and didn't want to do anything extreme.

If anyone is interested don't hesitate to PM me... again, sorry it's short notice but it should be fun, and pics will go up when we're back!

I am from Tyrone, there is some nice wheeling in Houtzdale. Which is about a 40 minute ride for ya. Plus my clubs have killer events all year. And some amazing terrain that we own. So you know that you are legal the whole time.

That's awsome to hear! We've got a small ride planned tomorrow, but we're always looking for other places. If you hear of anything soon please post on here so others can see it as well!

Hope to see you on the trail one day!

Panther Run

Great trip, here are a couple photos...BTW, I am finally thawed out. Forget what I said about the only way to wheel is topless...

Kit loves Jeep Trips...

At the rally point...

Every scenic overlook is a photo-op...

The view from my rearview...

Tyler a bit stuck...

Another view, it looks worse than it is...oh yeah, he drove out of it, no need for his awesome winch...

Here's the few I have!!

Here's another shot of the rally point... look how clean they are!!!

The "almost 20 year old beast" that stayed with us the whole time!

And the final look once I got home. Seems the dirt just adds something to it!

Edited the post to try and compress the pictures...who knew a phone took too high of a quality! It also cut upload time drastically!!!!

It takes a ridiculous amount of time to upload pics to JF.

Well, I know it's early to throw this out there, but I wanted to see if anyone was interested running more trails in a few weeks. Looking at the calendar I'm cleared the weeknds of the 18th or the 25th to run more trails back in there or try out the other spot! I know it's early seening how we just got back but I figured at least this time we could get the word out a little better!

Let me know what ya'll think??!!

Sounds good to me, I can always find time to wheel.
