I am 100 % he'll bent on making it this year ....... I registered for the inaugural event in 2011 and then the jeep went down missed the event and didn't get my early regurgitation parade plaque ...... Then 12 my jeep was down again this time for mods........... 2013 is happening ...... Just finished a 401 install with tranny and xfer case rebuild........ Literally first start yesterday! Can't wait!!!
I am planning on making the trip with my wife and 2 kids to camp out for the whole weekend. It will be our first time going as we are brand new to the Jeep family.
I am planning on us taking part in the Jeep Invasion, Jeep Playground, and some light trail riding. We plan on attending "The Great Pig Out" for sure, Saturday night entertainment, and the Father's Day Breakfast Buffet.
I am really excited as I cannot think of a better way to get acquainted with the Jeep family than this festival. I plan on soaking up as much of the weekend as I can.
I'm pretty sure we're in OBX then, so I may miss this! Doubt my wife would let me wheel her '12 GC anyway, and I just sold my WJ. Cooper's lake should be a much better venue for this, much more room than the fairgrounds. One side-effect of the date change is that Parts-a-rama should be the same weekend at the fairgrounds. I haven't confirmed this, but it's always over father's day weekend, and it's about 10 minutes (or less) from Cooper's lake. Should be a crazy weekend in Butler County!
We just made our reservations and will be tenting it at Cooper's Lake Campground at the Hidden Acres Section A part of the campground. We will be arriving on Thursday and staying 'til Sunday. Feel free to stop by and share a beer or if you have kids bring 'em along to play along with our kids. We hope to see some of you there. Like I said previously, we are new to the Jeep life and could use some help getting to know just what the life is about....
One question? Do we really have to wave at every single Jeep that weekend? Or is there some sort of mod specifically for this? ;^)
I'll be there. Parents are driving the Avalanche and camper. I've got the red-hooded step-child (red YJ with cj grill/top). Camping at Cooper's in the Serengetti. Third time there. First time for the Invasion and playground though. Lookin' forward to it.
