Anyone ever go off road next to the Lehigh river just outside Palmerton?

Your not talking about the one accross the river from 248? It's a park or something, cant do any wheelin there, took a field trip once and I said I would love to crawl over the mountain in my jeep and I got called out for "destruction of PA's beautiful land and ruining their work repairing what I destroy"...I so wanted to say I can get to see PA's great beatiful land because I can get there, but I just shup up and took a few more sentences about ATVs, dirtbikes, and jeeps and how their making the mountain the way "god designed it and intended it to be". Not going there again. I heard of a decent mud hole off 248 just before the palmerton exit, usually there's a cop sitting there or theres fishermen parked there in the summer.

From what i saw it was real nice. i had a liberty at the time so i didnt go out real far. The mud is the thick stuff so i wouldnt go out real far by myself.

If on 248 from slatington towards palmerton, get on the palmerton exit. Make a U turn at R&D powersports then get back on the exit ramp as if going back towards slatngton, you will see a dirt parking lot on the left you have to jump the center median which isnt high at all. its at the back of the dirt lot

I was down there a year ago or so and went all the way to the end. It's not a big area. But there are hills to climb and some mud to run through.

Yea it was alright area to screw around. But they gated it now. You can still get in if you really want to you just gotta go down to the driveway before the fairgrounds. There is a path that leads off, and gets you in there. As for the Palmerton exit, I've been back there its not that great. And lately the cops have been sitting in there.

Damn, how much? That looks fun, but I'd hate to get fined. So you were at the loop? Or did you just go farther and onto the power line trails?
