Curious on two things SoCalJeep1. Where are these trails in BESF at around Poe Valley at? Do you mean the main roads or have you discovered some trails that haven't been gated or bouldered shut? Been drivin' these parts, in one form or another, for decades and most of the good trails have been shut down and grown over, or are only passable on cycle anymore. So I always like to check out new ones. (I crave the good 'ol days sometimes)

The other thing is your handle "SoCal" and it's significance. My Jeep and I spent 2 years living there so it has a special place in my heart. Did you live there? Did you off road there? And I see your promoting the newest local club in town so I take it your from central pee-aaa.
Just curious is all.

the trails up the road at bald eagel are all mapped, and marked some are more jeep friendly, then just a dirt road. some take you back a good distance, and 2 we had had to turn around due to down trees, and way deep mud. all of poe paty should be the same.

No not really any new trails or fun trails. I don't even wheel there except for winter for some snow bashing. We are holding the Meet & Greet there because it's centrally located and there are people who do like that park, me I prefer Rausch Creek. Although on some of the narrow trails at Poe there has been some "modifiying" of sorts lol.
Yes i did live in Riverside county for a decade before moving to Pa. I wheeled the San berdo mtn's, a little of JV, Callico. I lived in Reche Canyon and had trails right off my land which was sweet for a quick ride and coyote chasing.
I've asked Keith to change my username so it doesnt confuse ppl, I don't know when he will get to it though.

That's cool. I'm familiar (or at least was) with some of that area. I lived in Oceanside so I've been up on Big Bears trails a few times. We used to go out to Los Coyotes Indian Res. a good bit, which I believe they closed that a few year back and now it's kind of a bicycle and birdwatchers haven. Been out in the Anzo Borrega and out somewhere around the Sultan Sea, which might be within the Anzo-B. boundries. Did the Mojave Trail one weekend. And some sand dunes north of LA somewhere. I wish I'd have taken more pictures (or have a better memory), but yes, SoCal is not shy on off-road trail systems.

I'm glad to see your club is an off-road club open to all 4wd's and not just one brand. They all got their good and bad characteristics.

I miss two things about Socal, weather and the huge off road community and the support it brings. I wish we could get better organized here in Pa and get more land opened up for us, whether it's private or gov't land.
I remember when I bought my current Jeep I went for a drive on the day I bought it. I went on Cleghorn trail and drove the entirety of that 36 mile trail, went home and woke up to two flat tires the next morning. John Bull was one of my favorite's, locals call it the mini Rubicon.
Will you be able to make it to the Meet & Greet?

I miss the bikini's, the off roading opportunities, and In-N-Out burgers. There's always something to do out there.
No, won't be makin' that. All my spare time is spent working on my Jeep or now that it's hunting season, in the woods. I haven't been able to drive it now for over a year and I'm gettin' real itchy. My completion goal is May but the way time is flying I'm starting to question that.
