I have 2 extra tow hoops like a welded on the front of mine if u want them, u can have them. I took them of a 450 lb industrial dryer. They use similar ones on Mack trucks, they have threads so u can cut a hole and bolt them to ur bumper or cut the threads off and weld them on like I did. U dont have to use 2, I just happen to have 2 extra. Here's a pic of what I mean, they've saved my arse a few times already.
I won't b in town this weekend, but if u want them netime after Sunday u can have em. I forget what they r rated for but it's more than 10,000 pounds...
Sorry the pic is pretty poor, my rear axle is at the shop gettin regeared again so it's up on blocks. I had a leaky breather n went muddin, needless to say my gears got chewed to a point, literally.
I'd check Surplus City. They always seem to have some interesting things. Big weld or bolt on 'D' rings. They also have some bar stock that you could make your own shackle mounts out of. I plan on in the future getting some and selling them. The cheapest I have ever seen them is $20 online and a 4-6' section of stock was only like $37. If I ever get motivated ill let you know when I finish a set
PA_YJ19 , sure that would work great if you're sure you don't want them. I'd give ya something for them if you wanted. Never feel good about taking handouts.
I was at Surplus City 2 weeks or so ago looking. I did not look at any bar stock but I did pick around towards the right side of the inside of the building where the ropes and chains are and didn't see anything worth welding onto the jeep.
Anyone wanting to attend that hasn't been to Doe Valley or doesn't know how to get to the Windber Stadium and is from the Altoona, Tyrone, State College area.

Lol we have a mall? I'm down to wheel this weekend if ud like. Got my rear axle back yesterday an got it bolted in, still have to connects the brakes, DS,socks and whatnot but ill prob b back in action by tomorow. Can't wait to try it out, I stretched the rear 2 inches with sum wagoneer springs.
My buddy bent it for me on a hydraulic bender at his work. I want to put a hoop around my headlights too then connect it on the sides to the stinger. I don't talk to the dude who did it nemore tho, mayb ill buy a bender eventually n have at it. U dont no neone in altoona with a bender by ne chance do ya?
I have a bender but can only do 45 degrees beforehand starts to kink the pipe. That's why I can't make my own stinger. What I can bend works for steps and sliders just not a good front hoop.
U ever try filling the tube with sand and capping the ends with tape, then bending it. It helps stop it from kinking a little. I need to put steps on my sliders, every buddy bugs me about it. May have to have u bend me some.
