Anything going on in Pittsburgh/Western PA anytime soon?

My 2000 WJ build is in the early stages, but I'm ready to wheel it.

JUST joined!!!

Down in the South Hills, I fear mine will be on more snowy streets, than backwoods bogs. Therefore, I'm looking for any mods that'll help 287 V-8 run a little smoother over pavement at the moment.

#1 son becomes a Boy Scout in April - might need some 4 wheelin' mods by then, however!

New Jeep owner from the South Hills. I took a half vacation day and drove down to Dolly Sods. Someone told me Dolly sods would destroy my suspension. They don't own a Jeep. I bought my Jeep because i am into landscape photography and you can't get to a a lot of the best shots via a regular passenger vehicle.

That's a nice looking jeep you got there. Do you plan on hitting any trails with it?

thanks! I am easing my way into trails by starting with rough seasonal roads, forest roads, but I would like to hit some trails as my skill improves. Primarily goal is to get so places I couldn't get to otherwise, but I think I would enjoy tackling some obstacles. i don't have a lot of extra cash to put into modding it at the moment, so I am trying to be somewhat careful with what I attempt. It is also my daily driver, but I don't drive every day since I work from home. it does not appear as though there are a lot of trails around here and the government seems bent on limiting the trails that did exist in the national forests...bummer. I drove some of the seasonal roads in NY earlier this month and they were close to trails - pretty rough.

that's cool, keep an eye out on jeepfest and things like that. there are dealerships that usually have little obstacle courses and little trail rides to do around here.

Good to know. I was too late to hit the Jamboree at Nemacolin. Not sre how difficult the course there is rated, anyway.

I'm 90% sure I am coming up for at least one of the days. Not sure if I'm going to go Saturday or Sunday. What day are you going to be going?
