Exclamation Any jeepers from Penn State?

I'm a freshman at Penn State Mont Alto and I have seen a few jeeps around and I know that Penn State Jeeps used to exist but I was wandering: IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE!!!!!!

I am twenty minutes from ya. There are alot of clubs in the area. And some nice wheeling 15 minutes from Penn State. In fact there is a ride Oct. 22nd. Just go to www.bbnt4x4.org they are having a nice Fall Ride about 20 minutes from ya and it is LEGAL. We have maps of the area. You can run it all day and never hit the same trail. Just go on and register with them. I am on there.

Bald Eagle State Forest is where the ride will be. You have Rock Run Recreational park, just Google that. It is a pay and play. And they are having a big event the weekend of Sept. 24th. Another local club is having a Roastin' on the Rocks. That is listed right above here. That date is Sept. 9th thru the 11th. I will be out on the 11th. That is in Windber. About hour and 40 from ya. They own their own property. Great terrain out there. So you can sign up for that.

Thats awesome! I was starting to wonder if I picked the only place in PA with no places to wheel
I might head over the 11th as well I'm going about 2hrs away the 10th to do a trail at Anthracite Outdoor Adventure park which hasn't really opened yet. That and Rausch were about all I knew about thanks! And would you happen to know if the state parks around here let Jeeps run some of their trails? All I could find was stuff about ATVs.

No, Rock Run is a offroad park. It is sponsored by Suzuki, Yamaha and Honda. That is why you see mostly ATV stuff. But there are always Jeeps there. There is a tab on there for OHV that lets you know about the Jeepin' part. If you go to the Roastin' on the Rocks I will see ya there on the 11th.

if you come back my way some there are a ton of mountain roads with nice vista's and such all through and around "the seven mountains" and through Rothrock state forest.
alot of history in these mountains pertaining to logging RR company's in the late 1800's early 1900's.
you can literately ride to almost every state park on this side of the state, by using just these mountain roads.
I often find trails on google earth, there are good trail maps on the nittany valley mountain bile association website.
If you have an I-phone,I-touch or I pad there are two PA state park and forest apps tha include maps of every forest and park in PA.

QUOTE=billzcat1;wsar10 is right on point on this oil thread - as usual. Anyone reading this would be well-served taking his advice.
