I am going to be getting together another trail ride up at AOAA. Should be even better than last year - they've been busy cutting a ton of new trails. For those unfamiliar with AOAA, it is going to be open to the public once all the funding with the national park service is complete and it is on a fantastic plot of land. I've been up there a bunch of times now and am hoping to get something together for a little over a month from now - I'm currently trying to pin down either Saturday June 30th or Saturday July 8th.
I will update this thread once I have pinned everything down with Barry. He is the "man in charge" and will be our guide for the day. If there is enough interest, we can have a catered lunch of hot dogs, hamburgers, pasta salad, macaroni salad, potato salad, chips, soda, and various desserts. If we get over 20 folks, catering runs about $7-10 per person. I can get a better figure once we have solid numbers of who can attend.
Other than that, the only cost to those attending would be the gas it takes to get out there.
So post up in this thread in the meantime if you can make it and please give me a general idea of how many people you will be bringing to get an accurate number for the caterers. I'll update this thread as I get more info from Barry.
The official date is July 21. Barry has us scheduled.
The plan is to get there and be ready to hit the trails by 9 AM. For those unfamiliar with the area, its about 30 minutes north of Rausch. To those wondering about the trails, they are mostly what I would equate to greens and blues. The majority of the time I've spent there has been on mild trails checking out scenery and the layout of the park. This time, I plan to hit some of the newer trails Barry just cut and they would be the equivalent in some places to tame blacks. Theres also some super extreme crazy trails, which Barry is more than happy to take us to. But I know I won't be doing those. I need to drive back to Philly afterwards. The nice part is with most of the trails, if not all, there are bypasses.
Post up in here and add your name to the list if you plan to make it.

I am in. Looking forward to making it back up. I still regret not being able to make the small group trip in October. I had every intention of going but had issues with the Jeep that morning and had to turn back.
