Fun in Fulton MO

Tombraider and I got to get out for some fun around the Fulton area. TR is much more advanced than I, but both of us had a great time. Just wanting to share some pictures. Ths was at Potawatomi Off Road Park.

It is located just outside of Fulton.

Directions
Potawatomi is located in central Missouri 100 miles west of St. Louis just south of I-70.

Coming from I-70: Take the Kingdom City Exit (exit #148) and go south on Hwy 54. Take the first Fulton Business 54 exit which is about 5 miles south of I-70. Continue on Business 54 for approx. 4 miles until you see Taco Bell on your right. The stop light just past Taco Bell is the intersection of 10th street. Turn left on 10th street. Continue on 10th Street and when you go past the golf course and city park, 10th street turns into Bartley Lane. Continue on Bartley Lane until it turns to gravel. About a mile on gravel, there is a sign on the left that says "Welcome to Potawatomi".

Coming from Jefferson City on Hwy 54: Approximately 20 miles from Jefferson City, take the first Fulton Business 54 exit. When you get to the top of the exit ramp, you will be taking a right onto Business 54. Continue on Business 54 for approx 4 miles, going past the Ford Dealer, McDonalds, City Hall, O'reillys, and when you get to the stop light at Auto Zone, you will make a left continuing on Business 54. The stop light after that will be 10th Street. Make a right onto 10th Street. Continue on 10th Street and when you go past the golf course and city park, 10th street turns into Bartley Lane. Continue on Bartley Lane until it turns to gravel. About a mile on gravel, there is a sign on the left that says "Welcome to Potawatomi".

Andy and his wingman and I had a great time on a nice fall day. You can camp on the land. It's roughly 200-250 acres with a couple lakes and plenty of open areas for camping. It's not a big place, but always a good time around a campfire.

The more the better I always say ! (since I was 15 1/2 that is )

Once I get everything set back up in mine I'll hopefully be tagging along as well. I'm at Mizzou so I'm not very far away at all.

I know that it's been a while since this thread had been posted to, but can anyone tell me if Potawatomi is somewhere that I can take a stock jeep and do some driving? I am looking to take my wife and kid, but don't want anything that we are going to get stuck in the mud or have to do any rock climbing and not have to break out a winch or hi-jack to get out of a situation. I pretty well have a stock 99 TJ with some "all terrain" tires. BTW, my kid is only 7, so she wouldn't be able to help much if we got stuck, and don't want to have to worry about rolling over. Thanks!

There absolutely are trails for stock jeeps ! Matter of fact....almost all of potowatomi is :-) Give me a shout sometime and I'm sure we'd love to head back out there for some good family fun. We don't tear up rigs and are always respectful of others. My daughter went with me many times !
