Tickets from other states

Wife got a speeding ticket on our trip to AZ. Immediately following we had an emergency and were out of town. She missed paying the ticket by the court date and she's trying to figure out how to get it resolved without having to appear in court like the ticket says.

I've read that some states are part of system that are able to tell if you have unpaid tickets in another, preventing you from renewing your license until it's resolved. Is Texas that way?

Thanks,
Neuner

Being a moderator at another forum; I'm just going to go ahead and say that Forums are not subject to giving any legal advice and it's too much of a liability...I would just call the court house?
