I wouldn't mind a hand. Although I'm so use to working by myself I'm not sure I'd know what to do. Cuss a whole lot less I suppose

I dunno. I curse like a sailor. Particularly at the jeep.

Everybody cusses at their Jeep. This is the way the world works. Luckily, the last major work I did on it was in the garage of my best friend's father- a man who used to be in the Navy.

So anyway, if my luck holds out, that Houston ZJ sells on Friday at noon and I'm still highest bidder. But I don't have any way to retrieve it and I don't want to pay $250 to have it delivered when it only costs $50 to rent a trailer, plus gas. Anybody heading up from that direction in a truck this weekend? But no seriously, anyone got any ideas that don't involve me getting another $250 in the hole on this?

I've got a truck & trailer, but I get 10 mpg whether loaded or not, might end up saving you $50.

In the end, I bit the bullet, bought that ZJ, and decided to have it delivered. No idea when it's gonna show up.

Got my parts ZJ in today. The V8 runs a bit weird, but it's consistent with bad gas and sitting for awhile. I don't know if the electrical issue is because of shorted body grounds, the bad battery, or an alternator thing, but that shouldn't be a big deal. Now I just need to see if the tranny works before I can start stripping it.

Sounds like a good setup, wish I had the time, money and resources to use it.

So far on my search for an axle, best I've found is a variloc with 140k for $350
Still not sure what I'm gunna do yet.
And to top things off work has died off for now I get stir crazy when I'm not working.

Well, at this point, I'm about ready to start pulling motors, but I don't have an engine hoist. Anybody got one I could borrow for a bit? If I power through it, I'd probably only need it for the weekend.
