Yeah I'm not afraid to admit, I cried like a baby when it happened. I kept saying "my baby" an crying. The people that helped me out of the jeep thought I was talking about a kid and when they found out I was crying because of the jeep they laughed.
I've cried everyday for that hunk of metal. To me she's not just a hunk of metal. She's my baby and I hate not being able to drive her.

Having worked at a dealership bodyshop before, there is more damage $$$ wise than what they quoted you. Just a slight bump to the rearend of a car runs $1200-$1500 for labor & paint.
You hit a cow? Was it on the roadway? The reason I ask is that in the State of Texas, livestock owners are responsible for any damage caused by an animal that has gotten loose. Its not your responsibility or your insurance to pay for the damage.
Sorry that it happened, sounds like you had alot of blood & sweat put into your ride. If there is anything I can help with, just let me know.

Yes those are your old wheels! I spray painted them black with truck liner bed stuff. I dig the look!

Also recently copied you and bought an 8.8 rear axle from an Explorer. Just recovering from Christmas then its going in with a locker.

FYI: we had briefly talked extended brake lines. I put on the 94 1/2 Chevy truck lines on the front. They work great as seen in the pics above. Cheap and much much longer.

The issue with that is I had slowed down so much that I barely knocked it over. By the time someone came and helped me out of the jeep I couldn't find the damn thing. The bumper had no dents in it so I couldn't prove anything and didn't see any broken fences anywhere.

The quote i got was from a buddy. He always gives me good deals but yeah I'm not gonna fix her. Just gonna swap the body.

Let us know when you get to that point, I'm sure we can organize a Wrenching Weekend to help you out and get everything swapped over. I'll keep my eyes open for a WJ, we go to the auction a couple of times a month.

**** that would be amazing! I'd really appreciate keeping your eyes open. My parents live in the DFW area and I'm on my way back to CC cause I have to get back to work. I had to leave both the jeep and my pup. I cant wait to get something worked out. My heart belongs to both the jeep and my dog

I just went with the C series. The K series is an 1.5 longer.

Both have the same fittings on both sides.

The C series is around 4 bucks cheaper.

My front was dropped and the original brake line was tighter than ....well you can insert your own saying

Being almost 20 years old and appearing to be originals I figured it was a good upgrade.
