New to San Antonio area (need some help)

Well I've just moved to the San Antonio area. I had to get rid of my YJ for the move, so I'm looking for another one. So if anyone knows of any good jeep deals in Texas I'm open. Looking for a YJ or early model TJ. Built or stock...doesn't matter. I'll give anything a lookover. Also looking for people to ride with as well as places out here. Well I guess that's about it for now. Thanks in advance!

Jeff

I've already started checking it out and found a couple of Jeeps close by. Thanks for the tip!

Welcome to the area!

IDK of any Jeep deals right now. Best bet would be looking at the paper and craigs list as mentioned.

Me and a friend used to hit Devil's den once or twiece a month, but I think is not *cough* legal *cough* to wheel there anymore?

I'm also interested in finding other places to wheel here/nearby S.A.

Dave.

I don't think there are any. I found a place down by Randolph in Universal City, but I don't think that place is legal either. It runs down by a river, and through the flood plain for it. Miles and miles of trails. I think the place it called The Pits. I ride my bicycle down there a lot, but have seen people there on motorcycles and ATV's

Hey guys I found a forum. http://www.texasjeepcorps.org They actually went out this weekend to Satan's Playground, but they get together every once in a while and wheel in places around S.A. Might be worth checking out, I'm hoping to head out with these guys soon, I couldn't make it this weekend, but I'm keeping an eye out for future trips....

yeah i havent really found any good places to wheel at that wont get you in trouble. Devils den was always fun and had some good trails but now it will cost you for going in there.

Nice to see other jeepers around here not many of them are dirty enough thou!!!

Ok guys, a little update.

Well I picked up a TJ and I'm loving it. I've been out wheeling with TJC twice now and going to continue on, great group of guys and I highly suggest anyone looking to wheel check them out. As far as wheeling there are places around/close to San Antonio. The closest legal place I know of to wheel is Cline's Ranch. He's about 20 Miles west of 1604 & Bandera near Medina lake. But there are places like Katemcy Rocks( http://katemcyrocks.com ) and Longs Ranch ( http://www.longranch.org ) that aren't too far of a drive. Just thought I'd update this and let people know.
